In the Schönstatt Original Shrine (“Urheiligtum,” Schönstatt Vallendar, Germany),
on the left side, one sees a statue of St. Michael the Archangel.
It is said that it is the oldest element in the shrine.

St. Michael, as one whose name means “who is like God,” worships and serves our Lord;
likewise he loves and serves our Blessed Mother.
Let us honor the Prince of the heavenly host –
he who is also defender of the Church and our souls!
